Albufeira’s main attraction is the seaside including 23 enchanting beaches, most protected by ochre-tinted cliffs. Some of the most popular beaches are Praia de Balaia, Praia de Castelo, Praia de Falésia, Praia de Galé, de Olhos d’Agua, Praia de Maria Luisa, and Praia de São Rafael.  Inland there is a tranquil green countryside to explore, covered with almond, fig, orange and pine trees; a great place for long country walks and trekking.
